Transformers: Age of Extinction Makes more than $100 million Opening Weekend




The fourth installment of filmmaker Michael Bay's Transformers movie series, Transformers: Age of Extinction has scored the biggest opening weekend internationally of 2014 with $201.3M. WOW! Let's not mention that X-Men: Days Of Future Past which opened to $172M in May. You can read more about that story HERE. In 2011 the previous Transformer installment, Transformers: Dark of the Moon,earned  $97.8 million during its opening weekend. 


Transformers: Age of Extinction cost $200 million to make it and Paramount estimates that the film will make over $300 million by Monday, June 30th .  


TAOE has earned $201.3 million from 37 territories, or 10,152 locations  Transformers: Age of Extinction also had uplifted 35% over Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Below is the Weekend Box Office statues of all four movies on their Weekend Openings from 2009-2014,
