Walking Dead is planned for 12 Seasons & A spin off series

One of the producers of behind the critically acclaimed Zombie drama "The Walking Dead" stated that the TV Show could go for more than TWELVE SEASONS!

The show that has been going since 2010 has five more years to go before achieving this target. With each new season there's more new characters that are brought in and one or two of the old characters dying this could possible.  Along with a spin off is also in the works that brings in a lot of new characters it takes place in the same post-apocalyptic world  as The Walking Dead  is taken place in.

The Walking Dead comics have been going since 2003 having 128 issues so far and still going, Even though not everything is followed from the comics, to give an idea of this, The Governor dies halfway through season four of the show while in the comics, issue 48 the event occurred.

What does this mean for the seasons of The Walking Dead? Will the comics be merging more and more with the episodes? Or Will the producers explore with the world and the characters with taking some ideas from the comics?

A spin off series in the work?

For the TV spinoff, I’m coming up with that stuff. It’s unrelated to the comics. What’s happening in issue 127 is in no way connected to the spin-off TV show.-The Walking Dead creator, Robert Kirkman

That means it's a whole New cast, NEW Characters, and a New Location! Are you looking forward to this as much as I am? I loved the comics, and the Tv Show but sometimes seeing the old characters over and over again not dying is getting a bit dull for me.  Down below is a quote that  Kirkman, the creator of the walking dead told IGN from a interview he did in October.

"We are going to see an entirely different corner of The Walking Dead," Kirkman told IGN in an October interview. "It definitely won’t be set in Georgia – I can at least say that. It’s important to us that this show exists on its own. The spinoff has to be a show worthy of existing, or else we’ve all sold out. So that’s something we’re all working hard towards doing, and I think we can pull it off. I think that the ideal situation is, when you’re watching the spinoff, you’re like, 'Wow, this is a really awesome show.' The whole other show doesn’t need to exist for this show to be cool and stand on its own."

Maybe there'd be a crossover in the near future with the new and the old Walking Dead characters as well? What's your thoughts?

Question of the post is; Will you want to see The Walking Dead reach Twelve Seasons? Why or why not? Comment below!
